Probate and Trust Administration

Brannon + Black provides full representation of probate and trust fiduciaries concerning the administration of non-contested estates and trusts.

Estate administration is the process of acquiring the proper legal authority from the probate court to become the legal representative for a deceased person’s estate, and then using that legal authority to distribute the deceased person’s property according to their wishes and the laws of the State of Georgia.

Trust Administration involves managing the assets owned by a trust and using them for the purposes stated in the terms of the trust. Although an attorney is not necessary for all estate administration or trust administration situations, a consultation with an attorney may be helpful to explain the process generally, assess the complexity of a particular case and to give guidance on the most appropriate course of action.
